This precocious vineyard is finally showing strength and a youthful complexity. It has an assertive nose, exuberant body, and the clean finish you have come to expect from this region. The wine has much Cabernet Franc in it yet seems to have a herbal and mineral side to it. With all the patience of a saint, Chris Hoon the vineyard manager, has delivered truly complex and well ripened fruit. For that we can't thank him enough. We continue to work row by row with this area and we are hopeful that in a few years the growing reputation which this much maligned part of Washington has had in the past will morph into a truly compelling area for growing Merlot, Cabernet France Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, and Petite Verdot. The wine has a luscious and simply delicious appeal. We like the softness of it as well as the currant and plum flavors.
