This Chimera has a full ruby red color. Lively aromas of ripe plum, black currant, brown sugar, sage and a touch of truffle. Rich and sweet on the palate, this wine has cherry, black berry and root beer flavors that meld into the full and creamy texture. The Chimera is a blend of fruit from multiple top sites throughout California including 38% Hendricks (Sonoma Coast), 29% Freestone & Widdoes (Russian River), 18% Wilson Vineyard (Sonoma Coast), 9% Garys' & Pisoni (Santa Lucia Highlands), and 6% Confluence Vineyard (Anderson Valley). Production: 825 cases Wilson vineyard is located the most Northern part of the Sonoma Coast appellation in the town of Annapolis. The entire vineyard is only 2 acres, planted at 700 feet above Sea level and only 3 miles from the coast Pinot Noir thrives in this cool coastal area.
