Rated 93 - Bright gold. Mineral-driven orange, pear and quince aromas are complicated by licorice, bay leaf and pungent floral qualities; smoky lees add depth and even more complexity. A fascinating Pouilly-Fuisse with deep, sweet citrus and pit fruit flavors and energizing minerality. Finishes broad, with a wallop of brown butter and spicy lime zest. Will improve with another five-plus years in the cellar. - Steven Tanzer (Mar 2008) - Daniel Et Martine Barraud Pouilly-fuisse La Roche 2006 750ml -
